super installer crashes

I have an x64 laptop with corei3 and hd4000. I am trying to install super but the installer crashes when it gets to "installing boot". I have reformated the partition as ext4 with gparted live, I tried bth the guided and manual installations. I made the boot partition 700mb and the swap 9gb. I will try giving boot mre space, but am at a loss. I like this distro way better than ubuntu and lubuntu. Any advice?

you do know this is very OLD
and based on a unsupported ( and very OLD) version of ubuntu

why not use a currently supported Operating system like Ubuntu 14.10 or Linux mint 17

Yup

Anything called super must be good right? I was looking for something to top Lubuntu, in fact I tried at least 6 different distros. Guess what? I just ended up reinstalling Lubuntu (a little faster than Ubuntu). So you were right John. I'm using 14.04. Best support for my devices. Is 14.10 any better? Thanks.
