Suggestions for distros

I'm using debian which is using a wired connection because everything I have tried will not get my realtek working even though it worked before. I also have kubuntu installed and everything worked right out of the box. Please don't tell me to try vb because it's a pain. I'm looking for something that's somewhat challenging. I was going to install gentoo because I used it for quite some time but talked myself out of it. I was wondering if I could get some suggestions on the pros and cons of different distros.

Thanks

Hi...

It sounds like Debian already is. It might be worthwhile to learn how to fix your wireless issue (if possible,) and other issues before tackling a distribution that requires the same or more know how. :twocents:

I've googled, searched the forum and posted with no luck. I won't give up.
