strange nfs issue

I am using cent OS 5.2 [kernel 2.6.18-8].

I am facing a strange nfs mount issue.

If I use following command:

mount -o intr,retrans=5,timeo=7,tcp,rsize=8192,wsize=8192 -t nfs mc1:/root/test_nfs /testnfs

mount command hangs.

<1>If I remove intr, mount succeeds.

<2> If I change rsize and wsize to 4096, mount succeeds.

I am not getting why mount fails with 8192 rsize and wsize.

Changing rsize and wsize to 4096, will affect performance.

Is it good to remove intr option?

Is there any patch available for the same?

Thanks,
Rahul

NO

you are aware that CentOS 5.2 has been unsupported for a few years
-- no security fixes , no updates, no bug fixes --
CentOS 5.6 is currently the ONLY 5 series that is supported
