SSHD + Daemon questions

Hey guys, i have two problems here...
First lets start with SSHD.

Ok i want to have access to the server from my computer over my LAN.
This is what i did:

# emerge net-misc/openssh
# ssh-keygen -t rsa1 -b 1024 -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_key -N ""
# ssh-keygen -t dsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_dsa_key -N ""
# ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key -N ""

#nano -w /etc/ssh/sshd_config

Left everything default apart from adding:

ListenAddress 192.168.0.1

# rc-update add sshd default
it says its already added
# /etc/init.d/sshd restart
It says the start-stop daemon cannot find the process

I downloaded PuTTY and put in as the IP/address 192.168.0.1
it says cannot connect

help

Just a guess here. You say that you want to access 192.168.0.1?
Now I don't know if you are on the internet at all but if you are that is usually the router/modem whatever.
Just making sure that is the right ip to hook up to is all.
