I'm starting to like Debian now that I've used it for a few days now. My problem is I installed Debian with the 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel. I'm trying to install the Audigy driver but I can't compile it without the 2.4.18-bf2.4 kernel source. I already tried it with Debian's 2.4.18 kernel source. Please Help!! I think I could learn to really like Debian, I just need some sound!
What error do you get when you try to compile? Post your error and helping will be a lot easier.
If you have installed the kernel sources, make sure there is a symlink /usr/src/linux-> where your kernel sources are located, probably /usr/src/linux-2.4.18
The kernel sources are my problem, I installed with a kernel from a net install disk and I don't know where to get that specific custom kernel source. It's a 2.4.18 kernel with some Debian stuff added. I guess I'll search the cd again for the source.
search on the debian site http://www.debian.org/packages .
Or install synaptic which gives a better overview of apt-get. The sources is on the cd´s (or the ftp site for that matter)
