sound question


I am running Mandrake 8.1 and when i run enlightenment the sound works for about the first couple of times then it starts to give me errors when I load enlightenment. Saying it was unable to load the sound server. I am running a sound blaster live 512 pci card. and suggestions???

Same prob

Similiar but have not looked into it. Ive been using KDE since the 2.4.x and a friend to me to go back to gnome. What was I thinking, yesh I like it. But I do lose the sound but right now im in the reconfiguring my workstation due to I blew out the HD. That was kewl. But thats a different story all together. i'll be back, cheers.
