Question Solus - possible to move panel to bottom and single click to open items?

Hi.

I was trying out Solus 1.1 today in VirtualBox. It looks promising. Is it possible to move the panel to the bottom and use single click to open items instead of double click?

Thanks.

LinusStallman,

In the Panel section of Budgie Settings you can move the panel to the bottom toolbar.

For Single clicks, have you looked in the Home folder?

Home > Edit > Preferences > Behaviour > Single clicks.

Hi bb2. Can you clarify those 2 items? I can't find them.

LS,

Click on bell-shaped icon (top right) between Power icon and Wifi icon.
Then click on gear/cog wheel icon to show Budgie Settings.
Select Panel tab > Manage panels.

Solus does have a Home partition:

Home folders are created for users automatically during installation, as well as when adding from the Users section of Gnome Control Center.

I think Single clicks are the default but I cannot be certain.

Hi bb2.

Thanks for clarifying that re the panel orientation. I was mistakenly looking for that option via the menu.

Ah yes, it was the file manager preferences that I could not find. When you said Home, I think you meant File Manager which opens the Home dir by default. I know all about home and root partitions. ;-)

The Budgie DE looks very good.

Again, thanks for the help.

This makes more sense. Why mention 'Home' at all?

File Manager > Edit > Preferences > Behavior > Single clicks
