ok im reinstalling my server soon, and i have to use a smaller drive this time...(1.5 gigs). Which distro should I use? I am using Redhat 6.2 now but i am trying to decide between those 2. I use it occasionaly for surfing, but mainly as a web/ftp server...nothing else really. Which one would you do? as far as stabilty and reliability goes...And what is this about slakware going down?

I have never installed FreeBSD but hear good things about it. I am soon hoping to install it myself to find out how it really is.
Slackware has ceased everthing I think, but I am sure someone will keep it going. Its too good of a Distro to get rid of in total.

I'm a Slackware fan myself but when 2.4 came out tests of it vs. FreeBSD still showed FreeBSD comming out tops (only just). I've heard its exceptional when its comes to networking but thats where its aimed. I also understand that OpenBSD kicks-butt in the security realm.

Cheers.
