Slackware has so many threads.

Only four distros have special room here: LFS, Debian, Slackware, Connectiva.
1. Interestingly, Slackware has the highest number of threads. Is that mean that Slackware is the most popular among the four ?
2. Where is the romm of other distros ? Redhat, Mandrake, Suse are more popular for the newbies. Don't they deserved a room ? I think newbies, this site biggest visitors, would like it.

1. Yes, I would have to say that Slackware is the more popular distro out of the 4, but also Debian was just added a month or so ago.

2. This is asked all the time, search this forum or the Website Questions and Suggestions forum in why we only have particular distro's and their own forums. In short, we either have a rep from the distro helping out in the forum or if its somewhat an official forum of the distro.

Don't be tricked by trickykid

In the begining all disto's were given equal space. And there was a fightout. Long story short the bums kissed the canvas and slack took the glory. The end.

ps. the doctor said mandrake could have brain damage

Talking

Make that, "Noobs have more problems with Slackware, hence, end-up learning how to fix those problems, then eventually become so good at fixing those problems that they walk away with a deeper knowledge of the Linux OS other than RPM -ivh this-n-that.RPM, or apt-get install this.package.for.me.because.i.don't.know.how.to".

Then again it could also be that there are just a lot of slackers (pun intended) on the boards
