Unhappy SLackWare 8.0 Dilema


I just downloaded the install iso of slackware 8. popped in a cd burned it and rebooted. Well when it boots up to get ready to install it it asks if i would like to install a keyboard set for a forn language.. 1 to enter or enter to continue. IT WONT LET ME DO EITHER. Does slackware 8 acknoledge usb based keyboards/mouse? help me out thanks

probably not. its most likely not detecting any usb devices. try to use just ps/2 mouse and keyboard, then you might want to configure your usb devices.

That's something I would like to see implemented a little better myself. On install, my usb mouse is detected as a ps/2 and works with a ps/2 config in console, obviously not in X. It's not too intuitive as far as usb devices are concerned imho. Although they work after a kernel reconfig and some file editing after install...
