Slack 9.1 Instalation Problems -> USB KEYBOARD
Hey all
I need some serious help
I've got slack 9.1 installed
I boot from the cd, install it, all perfectly normal (I got usb keyboard + usb mouse).
When I'm done configuring it, and the pc reboots for the first time after the slack instalation, I set lilo to use 'linux' and it boots the slackware.. when it gets to the root login screen, keyboard is frozen and I can't type anything.. I also heard 'somewhere' that some guy kept hitting some keyboard keys while the kernel booted so the kernel would 'detected' the usb keyboard.. well I tried that lame shit and the kernel froze (hang) during usb.c or whatever..
I got BIOS option set 'usb keyboard under dos' meaning the bios will detect and start the usb keyboard so that's why I can get LILO to choose 'linux' or 'windows' option.. and the funny thing is, I was able to install the slackware just fine, booting from the CD, and when I try to login into it for the first time after installation, it hangs.. either the kernel or the keyboard won't work (froze)..
the keyboard WILL work halfway thru the kernel loading process, I 'got' that from hitting caps lock a few times during kernel loading..
Please help, I'm desperate and found nothing that could solve my problem thanks.
