KDE configuration

You can configure KDE by running a program called kcontrol. You can start kcontrol from a terminal or you can start it by clicking on a menu entry labeled "Control Center".

Not exactly

But I don't want to edit the menu properties. I want to edit the menu content, the shortcuts, the tree, etc....
Kcontrol doesn't do that.

Only been running Redhat 8 for about a week now, took me a while to figure it out, Right Click the Little redhat that opens the start menu and select menu editor.

Is calling it a start menu legal, what is the linux lingo for the start menu?

jailbait is correct tho as SuSE goes (SuSE has polished KDE alot to include this kmenuedit choice of default KDE or SuSE's) i.e. 'kcontrol' does that ;-)

Have a lot of fun :-)

menu edit in Gnome

I use both Gnome and KDE. I use the same menu for both. I edit this menu in KDE. I have never tried to edit it in Gnome.
