RH 7.3 - why is it so uncooperative

I had Mandy 8.2 on my system, and everything worked just dandy (haha - a bit of poetry). Then I switched to RH 7.3, cos it was newer and that is what i use at work, and I am getting hassles where there were none in MDK.

Numero uno, the wheel on my PS/2 mouse doesn't work, and even after scouring google I can't seem to find anything that will show me how to get the bugger going.

Second, the kernel does not want to mount NTFS partitions where the MDK did it without a hitch. Is there a way to enable the kernel to mount the NTFS partitions without recompiling, or will I have to do it? And what about the mouse wheel?

Thanks to all the kind people that respond!!1

Both of these problems are solved by browsing the board, I am not going to repeat myself over and over again

Yeah, well, I got what I deserved. I was lazy to search, but like he pointed out the answers were all there.
