Remastering Knoppix

We had a project in our OS Lab about remastering knoppix. Major alterations would be the following:

1. To install opera - debian version in replacement of Mozilla. I got to figure out how to remove it, but dunno about the installing.

2. To edit the background image where we will add the 'Pinoyppixx - Pinoy Knoppix'.

I had a flash drive where I downloaded the needed file. And mounting this drive, bit newbie bout this.

I read the article "Remaster Knoppix without Remastering," quite a good piece. It give me insights too.

Please help me..I will appreciate it a lot.

Hi,

You can use ap-get to (de)install stuff.

Haven't seen the article you are revering to, but I used these links to remaster knoppix, especially the first one:

http://www.knoppix.net/docs/index.ph...masteringHowto

It (first link) also mentions how to change the background. Haven't tried this myself, so don't know if that works.

Hope this helps.
