Redmond Linux

Has anyone tried the Redmond Linux distro. I guess it is aimed at those wanting to get into Linux.

Is it similar to Mandrake and use RPMs to install programs?

I'm curious if anyone has tried it.

I wanted to try it out but I could never get by "Starting Lizard...................Waiting"

It just hung there forever.

Anyone else experience this?

no my install finished but i didn't like it at all. redmond lacks to even put in simple console editors like mcedit or aee or ee...

I would still go with Mandrake...no doubt about it. Redmond is just too much of a windows lookalike, and on top of that..its not that good in terms of the software that comes with it and power tools.

I just got done installing it, and it is extremly weak, whatever they call it. They do do a good job of emulating windows I suppose, and im sure a newbie would have no problem installinfg and using it but... its not for me.
