Unhappy redhat 8.0 hangs at bluecurve

I've installed RH8 on a 128MB / 333 AMD system with Via motherboard.

The system hangs at the bluecurve screen (i.e after logging on).

Any suggestions?

Thanks Iceman47. The strange thing is, that I logged on to the account I'd set up for my son, and it works fine. When I try to log on as me, it freezes!

Is this personal?
