Red Hat installation issues...
I wonder if anyone can help.. I borrowed the Red Hat 8.0 cds from a friend who has adsl but cd2 was screwed so I got all the files of it I could and d/l the others. but when I run the install program it asks for cd2 and keeps rejecting the one I have burnt (I have a 56K line and dont want to d/l the iso...) so..
I made sure the cd label (using nero) was "Red Hat Linux_i3", but when I look at the original it is the same except for the volume marker (right click the cd icon summary (nero feature)) it is "Red Hat Linux/i386 8.0" and I cant get nero to burn the correct volume label on it.... PLEASE HELP! or I gotta stay with M$ XP!:newbie: |
Maybe install only packages from the first cd and then (after installation) manually add those from 2nd cd you'd like to have.
