Red Hat -- Cannot change desktop!

Okay, so I go onto my greenish/blue desktop hoping to change the...blandness. Anywho, I tried changing the desktop but it keeps disappearing! I rebooted, and the desktop was changed. However, when I login it doesn't stay! (I'm not logging in as root...do I need to?)

Thanks alot.

What window manager are you using? If it's KDE or Gnome or BlueCurve, there should be a control Panel option to change it - If it's fluxbox or blackbox, you have to add a line to their init files, and if it's anything else, hopefully someone else knows :D
