Red Hat 9 Boot Help


When i boot into red hat 9 grub opens but gnome doesn't i read the manual and tried everyway they listed but no success.... help.

yea i tried startx
it just comes up with an error message.

I think those are the tools that come with redhat's
xfree86. You may have not installed X and that
would keep gnome from working.
assuming you know that in unix,
XF86Setup is different from
xf86setup
oh yeah, and you need to be root to do that kind of
stuff.
