Red Hat 8.0 isos
 

Hi,

I want to give RH8.0 a shot. I can get the first 3 isos, the other 3 are not mirrored locally and I'll be damned if I am gonna pull them with my puny 56k.

I know that it comes with Gnome 2 and that Gnome 2 is not compatible with many Gnome 1.4 apps.

What I want to know is what will I be missing, i.e. which apps are on the cds 4, 5, and 6? Will my installation be crippled because of the lack of those ISOs?

If memory serves me, CDs 4 5 and 6 are the source files, so I'm not sure, but I doubt there will be any extra apps on there. I could be wrong, in which case, please correct me (it's the only way I'll learn :D).

I installed basically everything with just the 3 cd's. I really doubt you will need the other cds.
