Hi y'all,
I've been installing Red Hat 7.3 and got to the point where I have 9M of files left to install. It wants the 3rd CDROM which I insert only to get the message "That's not the correct Red Hat CDROM".
I've seen other people have similiar problems but usually with burnt copies whereas these disks came with the "Next Handbooks- Operating in Linux 3rd Edition'.
Any help would be great as it has taken over 1.5 hours to install to this point only to come across a glitch.
i have the exact same handbook, and the same problem, send an e-mail to jenniferleigh@next.com.au which i did complaing about this and request for a WORKING set, which i did, i haven't had a response and i e-mailed them sunday night....but just remember which packages are on the 3rd cd-rom and install them straight after the installation....
I've just seem your reply GT I.N.C(?) and will email the contact you've provided. I just wonder if I need to make a list of all the files or will the people from 'Next' know what files are on the CD.
Thanks for the reply.
it took me ages, i had to remember and think of what kind of packages are on the disk, its mainly some develepment packages, wine, programming languages, etc etc....
I have same disks an same problem just uncheck development tools and it dosnt ask for the 3rd disk.
best bet is just to download the 3rd disk from linux iso if needed.?
hope that helps.....!
