recommend linux distribution
 
i have a old p III celeron 500 mhz with 64 mb sd ram and 4 mb trident card on it, with 6 gb hdd. please suggest a gud distributuion of linux to install on it.

I'd go for Slack or Debian.

It depends on your knowledge of Linux.

If you are just starting to learn Linux,
go for Mandrake, SuSe or RedHat.

Slackware and Debian are advanced.

Of course, then there is Gentoo. If you like to compile and build an entire system from scratch.

Yea, that's a good point. You may find Slack and Debian hard if this is your first linux distribution.

Then go for what Mathieu suggested, better.
