there are many distributions that could fit that criteria. You'll likely get more useful suggestions if you explain what you want to do with it once it is installed.

Debian7 text only install is GREAT
and so is RHEL6.6 Text only install
but
you will NOT be able to use facebook

Redhat (RHEL, CentOS, Fedora) has been putting some weight to cloud computing, if you're leaning into that direction. I (vaguely) recall they have some more lightweight versions or images for VMs.
Ubuntu has some lightweight images for VMs too.
Oh yes, and there is an unusably tiny test-distro: CirrOS, if you are playing more with the virtualbox than with the guest OS.
