Radeon 9600. Want 3d acceleration.

Is there a specific distro that would serve me best?

i have a radeon 9600 pro and it works in 3d in every distro that i tried , you just have to install its drivers from ati.com

I have tried to upgrade existing X window and ATI driver on Mandrake 10.1, but had no luck. All the time I got msg that say no Xserver found and you are not in console or you not own it - whatever does it mean I had nothing but problems. if some one know how to do this upgrade and tell me step-by-step I'll grateful

I did finally get my Radeon drivers working. This forum MIGHT help, maybe.
