Problems with live CD's
I'm having problems using some live CD's. i've successfully downloaded bluewhite 64 live Cd and lg3d (Project looking glass) live cd. The blue white 64 was 705 MB so i could not burn it out on a normal CD so i used a DVD. It did not work at all when i booted my system (AMD 64 Athlon). The lg3d needed to start from DOS and have a Linux.bat batch file run from the cd. It started to unpack but could not finish the boot. i tried the lg3d CD also on a dell GX 240 and it did the same thing. is there something that I'm not doing right? i have a KNOPPIX 5.0 live cd that i burnt the same way and it works perfectly.
I'm no expert, but I don't think you can just burn a CD iso to a DVD. I think you have to do some manipulation to the iso structure to make it DVD readable. You might be able to put it on a CD using "overburn". I think K3b has this capability...
