Problems getting SuSE 8.0 to Install

Hey everyone how is it going?

I've run into a few problems with getting SuSE 8.0 to run on my computer.

I keep getting errors (RPM returned and error) towards the end of the instillation, and LILO will not write to a HD or Floppy.

I can go under boot installed OS option and get into SuSE but it seems to not work very well.

I've posted two questions over at Arstechnica forums but have received little or not help at all.
These two links explain in more detail what is wrong with my system.

I was also wondering what is a good way to set up a 4.0GB HD that will only being running Linux.

Thanks :newbie:

Two things you should try first:

Firstly open a SuSE support ticket by registering your new product. (if its the purchsed version)

Secondly, and most importantly join the Suse linux list serve or browse their archives. This has been most helpful for me.

archives are here: http://lists2.suse.com/archive/suse-linux-e/

joining the list (you want the english one I guess)
