pico text editor missing from Red Hat 8.0 Distro?
 

Hi all,

First off, I am a newbie to Linux.
I recently did a fresh installation of RH 8.0 release.

I have checked through all the packages & don't see PICO
the simple command line text editor....

Does anyone know if this has been removed from this particular Distribution? If so, what RPM could I look for on the Internet
to get this program re-installed on my machine?

I'm not all that familiar with RH 8.0, but is there an rpm for pine on one of your CDs? That's where pico is found on my Mandrake.

Strange, I never would have thought it would be in Pine.,
I was thinking more along the line of the Editors, etc....
