PCLinuxOS Full Monty installer: no progress bar. Stuck?
Well,
First, this is a PC that I play with. I wipe it out every once in a while and test distros. Lubuntu was my favorite out of several distros, and now I popped in PCLinuxOS Full Monty KDE live cd and I like it. So I decided to install. After partitioning and clicking next or proceed, Drikelive-install shows nothing in the window. Things that may be slowing it down: I did "tell" the installer to encrypt the root partition and checked the "check for bad sectors" option (this latter option was probably a bad choice). I understand it will take longer, but I wish I saw a progress bar. There's no indication that anything is being done. Firing up System Monitor, shows kworker/*:* using most of the CPU at 12-15%. Should I wait? Thank you, Bert |
I think so. I have never played with PClinuxOS, but encryption takes *long*.
