PCLinuxOS is only released as a Live CD. An international DVD with many more applications is planned later on this year.

Hello I am Using PCLinuxOS 2007 currently, have 'Install Questions, or just usability questions, feel free to ask.

I ran Slackware, Debian, Fedora core 3, Played with Knoppix. Gentoo and a few others.

This is by far the Be4st Linux to come out.

I have done a Recent Presentation of this distribution here in Vegas at our Local Linux User Group.

I run the Beryl Desktop Open GL. Using anything other than the Open GL will lock you into the Desktop, a known bug to Beryl. Being worked on daily. Texstar and The Ripper Gang have made a Very Wonderful Linux Distribution. By far more features, more fun, no bloat. Using the Synaptic Program for getting your packages you can select from 5 desktops, and many other things, Games Artist work, Music this has it all.

Feel free to ask me about this, I am not a developer but I have worked with this for two weeks crashing it, fixing it, and generally road Burning it, tests, no got to work this to the ground,, just to see if it can take it, well it can, and once Broke easy to Fix. The Updates do take a long time, but when you get it working just like you want it is so much better and stable then any other. want to see what this Linux Disto can do, go to youtube and search for PCLinuxOS and watch out you may find it too fun and enjoy the benefits it comes with.

If the reason you want a DVD rather than a CD is because you have dial-up, there are other ways to go about it. If you know anyone who has an installation of PCLOS, if you can get them to do a DVD size "remaster", you could install from that.
