NO Sound OUTput (or sndconfig success)
 

:Pengy hello fellow Linux Heads .

I have got a Small Linux BOx setup ,Old COMPAQ deskpro 2000/166 phentium and I recently installed the SERVER option onto the 4gb HDRIVE.

In my spare time I have tested it out <usual windows- like point and clicking, in various departments>


I have found out that my SOUND CARD CANNOT work or is DISABLED in this SERVER setup.

What is going WRONG here??!!!! IT worked in a Workstation setup. By The Way , The card is a SOUND BLASTER 16 Value .

modprobe es1371

install sndconfig from their site
