New Mandrake Move Software!

I found this new software that is called Mandrake Move ! It looks really cool and it seems that Mandrake is finally getting it together. This will be very useful for me until I get my laptop fixed. I have knoppix running on my laptop because the mandrake 9.2 installation froze and I have to find a way to back up my data. This is a great idea by mandrake and if it's any good I'll use it.

I just found this slashdot disscussion on the software.

I just burned and used the mandrake move. It asks for a name and for you to create a user name and password. It does not however include the amount of software that knoppix includes but it does seem sufficient for people who don't use the computer for much other email, games, music, word processing, and internet. It seems very user friendly but not what I was looking for. I need more applications like knoppix has but would like the configuration utilities that this includes.

I can't seem to get my screen resolution higher than 640x480 which is very annoying. Whatever?

Forget this software. !!!!!!! It can't do anything, it does not come with gcc or most of the command line tools. I can't understand why mandrake would not include more software with this because it does not not have any advantages over knoppix and actually poorly compares to knoppix. I'm very dissapointed. Good for only basic computing needs. Even the suse live-eval has more software than this. Dumb product.
