New LQ sub-forum for WattOS?

As I just wrote in a recent Debian forum thread, the new release of WattOS just came out this week and is now based on Debian 'Wheezy' instead of Ubuntu (as it was in the past).

The PlanetWatt Landing Page explicitly states:

I'm wondering if there'd be enough interest on LQ to create a WattOS-specific sub-forum for Q & A rather than having to rely on the PlanetWatt WattOS's invite-only:rolleyes: forums. BTW, have already reviewed the top Sticky: Why Is There No Forum For My Distro?. Not certain at the present time when or even if those "friendly" WattOS Mods/distro makers will get around to contacting LQ's Jeremy to request a sub-forum :tisk:

Any thoughts on this, e.g., WattOS is currently too much of a smaller fringe distro to warrant a separate LQ sub-forum??

Hi there. I am the wattOS Dev. We have recently opened a new forum that anyone can join. So come on over, and we are happy to help out.

We had closed the old ones to invite only because of spammers and the amount of work it was taking to keep them under control. No other reason. The new forum is more robust and has better tools to handle spam (plus I got some people helping me now).

In any case whether one gets opened here, or you want to head over to the web site, we are happy to help.

That "new forums" link is the seventh along the top of the WattOS main page.

Over the last several days since it was created, the "new forums" has had less than a dozen-and-a-half new threads. One of those threads is biffbaxter's Other good reference web sites

CrunchBang Linux is another Debian-based distro that also uses Openbox. CB has a specific WM/DE Talk forum, where its Head Dev corenominal has a relevant Openbox resources thread.

I would think that LQ's Debian sub-forum would be among the most helpful links for WattOS as well as possibly these other LQ subforums:

Linux Desktop (related to Openbox)
Ubuntu (past versions of WattOS)
Linux Mint
Bodhi

Until WattOS and its new forums get more steam, the above could be really useful references here :)
