New Distro

This is not Advertising

I am looking for information on what people would like to see in a SECURE distro. It will only be on server platforms so I am looking for sys admin and other system integrators input on the situation. We are developing an out of the box secure linux distro. We are researching applications that have been having security problems and then trying to find out why or what else can we include. Please visit blue linux for more information and to give feedback.

Question Sounds like an advert to me

But seeing as you are hosted at sourceforge it looks like a genuine attempt to improve Linux. How many developers are there on the project and what are your realistic goals for the short-term. You think that you could produce a viable server distro?

Unhappy Blue Linux

Unfortuantly right now there is only me and a friend of mine working on this project. We have been planing on doing this for a while as we seen the need for a true secure linux. We have noticed that while linux is secure in essense it takes a lot of tweaking and staying up on what is going on daily. We have been trying to compile a software suite that has the least security problems and staying up with what NSA and other CERTS are saying.

As far as short term goals ....my main priority is to get sysadmin and people that deal with server products input to make sure that I can reach the amounts of people i need to. I dont want to create a great secure OS and not have the functionality that any sysadmin would ask for.

Can Blue Linux be a viable server platform...Sure anything can as long as you concentrate on the goals and dont rush anything
