Need help choosing distro
 

Here's what's going on. I have a small home operated business in the works in which I'm going to be building and selling PC's (just to make a little money while doing my hobby) and I want them to be linux powered. What distribution would you suggest me using on these systems?

Ubuntu might be good... fairly easy for users, a relatively common distribution.

Have you considered giving people choices?

What kind of computers are you going to build?

I installed Xandros recently, did not like it but it might be good for beginners and it comes with a 30 day trial of crossover

That's actually why I was asking. I was hoping I would get a wide variety then check them all out and the customer could have a choice. I haven't totally decided on the exact specs on the computers yet, but they will be customizable. I hate to build the same computer over and over, it would get boring after a while. Xandros isn't free is it? I know there is a free version but it has limits.

Ubuntu is very free (which is why I reccomended it). If you felt like being a masochist (though you could probably charge a premium for this) you could preload machines with Gentoo even. :) *drool*

After doing some research I've compiled a nice little list of some distro's to try out. Now on to the next thing. I would like to create a book. Nothing fancy. Just something to ship with the computer. What should be included in this book? I want it to be kind of like one of those books you use to get with Windows (now you get like a little 8 page manual with 16 pt. font that gets you absolutely nowhere). Just to cover some simple things in linux. Any help?

That would largely depend on the distro and your target audience.

Installing Programs will be a must for any book as Linux isn't point and click. If a debian based distro is in your selection, well you know how easy it is.
