Smile MPIO Support

Hi all,

I have a server with RH4 and have attached a DDN S2A3000(SAN Appliance). I have two QLogic QLA2342 FC cards installed. Each fc port is attached to one of ports on the S2A. I have created a single lun that is visable by all 4 ports on the Qlogic's. I have installed the device-mapper multipath rpm and everything seems to be working. There is limited information about the mulitpathd.conf but I have been playing with the rr_min_io variable a bit. I have set the method to multibus not failover. The performance results I am seeing gives me the impression that MPIO is mainly for failover protection on the data paths. Has anyone set this up and can shed some light on performance tweeks? Is there a way to get a aggregate of bandwidth across all 4 FC ports? At this point I don't see it. I am seen basically a GB aggregate across all 4 1GB ports.

Thanks
smitty
