Mount external hard drive to redhat 5

Dear Users

I have 2TB external hard drive & trying to mount to red hat 5.

I installed fuse-ntfs-3g and my fuse-kernal-module is upto date.

Still it shows error as module fuse not found. fuse device is missing.

Finally i got to know that fuse modules should be explicitly added to fuse kernel.

I tried to find a way for this, but couldn't able to solve it.

Kindly advice.

Many Thanks
Balaji

what version of RHEL5 ?
there was a bug in the old 5,0 to 5.3 with ntfs-3g
( fixed in 5.4 to 5.8 )
see the old cent 5 wiki page
http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/NTFS

but
you are paying for RHEL support
( the required support)

so have you looked on the red hat knowledge base ?
https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/search

for the current RHEL 5.8 there is NO NEED for "fuse"
