Hello folks,
I have a PII at home with 400 Mhz and 300MB of RAM, I think this would make a good router for my home network, my Linksys doesn't support QoS and I need something that does for my next project (Trixbox IP PBX Server).
Can someone recommend me a good Linux Router? Is OLR (Open Linux Router) good? Anything else you guys would recommend?
Which Linksys model do you have? I like the Linksys WRT54G because you can install 3rd party firmware on most of them (Sveasoft Alchemy, OpenWRT, X-WRT, DDWRT, etc) that gives it tons of extra features. Not sure if QoS is one of the available features...
It's an old wired one, BR... I'll post it when I get home, I couldn't find any 3rd party firmware for that one yet, but if you have one it could be a good alternative and get the PII used for something else.
I run it on a PII 300MHz/192mb ram, and it's fine even on that. It has some traffic shaping built in, not sure how great that works in reality, but it has some QoS addons, e.g.: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Advanced_QoS_for_IPCop
Pretty much any router distro should have QoS support, as it's a very basic feature.

Seems you are indeed asking for router distro recommendations.
I've added the word distro to the thread title, and moved the thread to Distributions.
