Most complete linux distro

I would like to know which is the most complete distro available. What I mean is that I want to have the most packages on DVD so I dont have to use the internet to download new stuff.

I think Debian might win this one - 21 CDs or 4 DVDs last time I checked. Maybe others will enlighten me...?

edit: it seems some of that capacity is made up of the source for the packages though...

I would also vote Debian.
Not only are such DVDs already available, but you could actually download the whole lot of debs from the internet repositories, and carefully burn them on DVDs (with the adequate meta-data) if you had time for this, and then declare each DVD as a new source. I don't even know how many DVDs that would make :D

Debian, is the only distro I am aware of that has the entire repository on DVD in such a manner..
so yet another vote for Debian..

To download individual Packages and create a DVD as the previous poster suggested you would use jigdo.. but I don't believe you would gain anything over the full DVD distribution in the number of packages.

Yes part of what is on the DVD's is source files, because those are supposed to be made readily available for all distributions, not just Debian.. case in point CentOS. a complete distro built from the RHEL Source files..

There was a thread somewhere where someone actually tried to download an entire dep repo. He stopped it somewhere in excess of 30 gig. You'll get a lot of redundant packages... previous versions, old kernels - nothing you will ever need. The 4DVD's should be enough.

Debian, hands down. But if you want a complete distro that is also somewhat friendly to use, I'd recommend Ubuntu.
