mepis+scanner
 

Hey, just wondering if anyone knows how to add a scanner in MEPIS....I wanted to give MEPIS a shot and don't know how to do it. It is an HP Scanjet 5200C if this helps. Thx

Mepis ? i assume this is a linux distro ? do you mean Memphis ?

anyways how do you mean ADD a scanner ?
if its a USB scanner, just plug it in, otherwise you should power down, then plug it in.

Use a porgram Like Xsane or Kooka to Scan documents onto the computer.

but first have a look at Sane's homepage to see if your scanner is supported.
