I've been using such distros as Mandrake and FC2&3 and thought I'd look for a different distro just to see what's out there. I've tried Ubuntu, but does not install correctly on my laptop because of some ACPI problems. I found Mepis and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it or if it's any good or not.
I installed without any problems.
Apart from a strange problem with my camera (http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...5&pagenumber=2)
I really like it and would recommend it, although I am using it on a desk top not a laptop.
I went ahead and installed the OS successfully. The only problem I'm having is getting it to recognize my wireless card. I've used, in the past, ndiswrapper with FC3, I might go ahead and try it on Mepis, unless you or anyone else has some suggestions. I'll probably post this question in the Wireless forum as well.
