mepis distro?

Does any body know anything about this distro? I was searching for the configuration of a dual monirot system in Linuz, and this link poped up on the search:

It's a nice KDE distro. I've heard good things from a few satisfied users. But its not mainstream, thus packages for more software will be harder to obtain/install, plus the support community will be smaller than that for, say, Mandrake or Fedora.

MEPIS is debian-based

As MEPIS is debian-based, getting packages will not be a problem. In fact, it is configured to use debian repositories via apt-get, though you should start by using the graphical front-end Kpackage.

debian installation

Debian has had a (past) reputation as being difficult to install. Many newbies get a debian-based system by using either MEPIS or knoppix.
I have heard that this problem has improved.

I'm using Mepis (SimplyMepis RC2) and there isn't any difficulties to obtain pakages. It's based on Debian unstable and we've got the latest package.
