Hey all,
Just got a quick question that i'm sure someone has an answer too. I recently downloaded Mandrake 8.1 but being the grub that i am would like to get my hands on the additional application CDs Mandrake does not offer for download.
Anyone know where i could get em?
Please let me know
well, that's the cd's that contains non-gpl software. Putting those cd's online is illegal.
if you want an application, just look for it. are you after anythign inparticular, or just want to install everythign in sight for no apparent reason other than to stuff up your system?
But for real, but of the software you need is free. Some software like 3d apps are suckky under Linux so i suggest you keep Windowz for that kind of stuff. But 2d stuff can be done in GIMP which is worse than photoshop but i find it very cool non-the-less. ICQ, AIM, and all other messaging programs are free. Mmm what else do you want? games? well only a few games are supported assuming you have gotten the drivers installed some of them are all of the QUAKE(TM) series, The Sims. If you want to run some windows programs then get a good emulator and wine isn't one of them so i dont think there is a good one unless you get a warez copy of that one i forgot its name but anyways its good 4 u
well thank you all for the help.
i assume there is no where to get them? because they are illegal and there are no illegal stuff on the internet right?
