Mandrake 9.1 Truetype font question

This is weird; I installed the Windows fonts through the control centre and they appear in the font list. However, they're not selectable in any Gnome or KDE applications. Last time I installed Mandrake 9.1 this worked, so why isn't it this time? Is there anything I can do to make applications use these fonts?

I don't use the Mandrake Control Centre for fonts for some reason it seems below the standard of other MCC components. Instead use KDE Control Centre. The font installer in that enables you to copy and install fonts from anywhere, not just your windows/fonts folder in your Windows partition!

I use Mandy9.1 and it all worked for me!

Ah you're my hero! I didn't realise they still packaged the KDE font installer! It worked first time - THANKS!
