I have some problems with mandrake 9.1 control center. Every time I try to configure my internet connection (modem) or my printer (Lexmark X125) the system freezes and i can't move my mouse, so I have to reboot.
The printer and the mouse are USB devices while the modem is a normal serial modem.
1) Try getting any updates for it. Go via the individual app, found in the KDEStartMenu -> Configuration -> Packaging submenu.
2) Try configuring your modem seperately. Do you mean it's an external 56K? Have you installed drivers for it first? Try something like Kppp for a dialer&account manager.
3) Again have you seen any indication that Mdk9.1 recognises your printer or that you'll have to fnd drivers? Have you used any config tools from KDEStartMenu -> Configuration -> Printing submenu?
