Mandrake 8.1 Unable to install
I downloaded the Mandrake 8.1 ISO images from mandrake ftp mirros site.
I am unable to install. The CD boots into install program, but fails at what it calls second state. I get a wierd message saying 'unable to decompress' something.
As a result, I spent several hours again downlaoding the image from another site. Burnt another CD, but at the end, got the same result.
Has anyone had this problem?

Yes, I did. Actually md5sum comes bundled with most distros.
Infact, I downloaded the image twice. Burned the CD twice, and tried to install a few times. The md5sum is just fine.
I saw a similar report, as you mentioned, on mandrakeforum.com. Another poster too had similar problems. No one, however, has replied to both our questions.
Thanks,
