Looking for specific distro... please help

I am wondering is there a distro that is used as quick emergence disk:

Boot disk that automacitally mount all partitions and make them accessible from local network via SSH or samba etc...

I need this in order to be able to perform quick backups when systems are down.

Tool should be able to read/write NTFS partitions as well.

THANK YOU!

Knoppix is your best bet. If you add the ntfs-3g ability to it then you should have the NTFS partitions taken care of too. Check it out www.knoppix.de

Lots of Live Rescue CD's out there, including Bootable Windows PE Live CD's...

hi

I do use Knoppix but it takes a while to load on older systems.

Something light like DSL Linux without GUI would be perfect.

Can anybody point me where can I get help in order to build something like that?

- no GUI
- must be light for resources
- networking
- SSH
- Samba
- NTFS drivers
- Linux based
- script that automatically execute at startup in order to mount and share all partitions over the network.

So the link to the list of multiple Live CD's wasn't sufficient ? 36 of them being geared to rescue....
