Looking for some indie distros
I'm looking for some independent Linux distros to try out and play around with. I already went through all the interesting distros on DistroWatch.com and am hoping to see what else is out there. Is there any site that lists some distros not on DistroWatch, or if anyone knows any they can reply? I'm looking for something Ubuntu based, and open to Debian based as well .
Thanks !

It might help to know what distros you've tried or link to the relevant distrowatch page (is it perhaps this one?). Otherwise, persons may suggest distros you've already hopped.

in my book, independent means not based on anything.
for that, i'd use distrowatch's search tool, and choose distro based on => Independent.
of course that will give you the major distros too, because they aren't based on anything (but themselves), but after that you should be seeing some interesting stuff.
but it seems you just mean "distros small/unknown/insignificant enough never to show up on distrowatch's radar"?
bunsenlabs wasn't on distrowatch's radar when it started, but it is now...

Distrowatch has a waiting list section
https://distrowatch.com/dwres.php?resource=links#new
The fourth category, to be added when they achieve a second edition, is the one to look at.
Alternatively, look for "based on Debian" and consider those not in the top 100
https://distrowatch.com/search.php
How about SalentOS, Star, BunsenLabs, Makulu, or Peach?
