Loadlin w/ Redhat Kernel Update

I just downloaded RH's latest stock kernel (kernel-2.4.18-19.8.0.i586.rpm). But the vmlinuz file contained within doesn't
unpack with loadlin anymore. I get an error that says the format is invalid and the system halts. Is the newer kenel using a new compression format and do I need to upgrade loadlin? The version of loadlin remains the same on RH's site.

You need to use version 1.6c of LOADLIN.EXE in order to make it work. Get it at the author's home page, http://elserv.ffm.fgan.de/~lermen/

(Note: RedHat 8 comes with kernel version 2.4.18-14. The version of loadlin that comes on the RedHat 8 CD is older than v1.6c and will NOT work. Gotcha!)
