Just curious. What is wrong with installing, instead of a old version. Installing a current version and downgrading the kernel?
I do this all the time on My gear. But not on live persistent usb installs. Live is read only. Also. What is wrong with doing a full install install to usb. Instead of live with persistence?
Then kernel changes would be a breeze then.
Just wondering if this whole thread needs re thinking is all.
Edit. My post has to do with me rolling like this for a LONG while now

Hello people, how are you all?
Many thanks for replying.
I tested Suse 9.2 LiveDVD but it is not usable for me.
I began testing Wolvix 1.1.0 and voila! Now it works as I need. ISO + 1.5GB xfs savefile. I am gonna keep testing some more time.
Thank you very much once more.

You would've wanted SUSE 8.2 - by 9.2 they took out the YaST/linuxrc persistent configuration tools. But glad you got it to work. If you feel your problem is solved, please mark this thread as "Solved". Good luck!
