Live-distro for checking security/hacking
I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for a live cd, that got good progrms for checking the net.
I'm currently at school and is at the moment in a small war with the IT-department here.
You can't do this and you can't do that.
Running Knoppix and even nmap under windows works here, although it shouldn't be possible. At least that's what they say.
So. Any good distro for checking security or hacking?
Or do i have to make my own?
Somehow "Hacker's Linux" has a nice ring to it.
Any ideas, anyone?

The ba5stards here keeps a tab on the net. So that if they find a pc running Linux. They run out with Norton Ghost and removes it.
I'm supposed to learn Network maintenance and Support (just for some papers to show really). And to the teachers there's only one OS. Hell, the class spent at least 7 days to learn fdisk and format, and they still don't get it. *sighs*
Yes, the buggy one from Redmond.
The bastards even run Pestcontrol with full scan.
But i'm looking into making my own
*dislikes his school*

Glad to be of service Kroppus..Nothing beats the look on people's faces at my job , (windows users), when I whip out the Knoppix-STD cd on my lunchbreak, then switch back to Winblowz when I'm done messing around...lol

That looks pretty cool, I gotta download that knoppix-std, think I'm gonna like that more than the knoppix live cd.

@ leeach
Yepps, i know exactly what you mean.
You should have seen the face of my teacher when i whipped it out during the exam yesterday. Formatting and converting partitions? NP.
Oh, best of all. It had support for the new network cards we got too. 1gb's
*was really happy*
This distro has now been glued to the inside pocket of my coat (the cover, not the cd)
